Alaskan Yellow Cedar Wood Plugs

Alaskan Yellow Cedar — also called Yellow Cypress in the boatbuilding world — is one of the most durable cedars available for marine and outdoor applications. Fine, even grain, pale yellow color, and natural oils that resist moisture and rot make it the species serious boat builders reach for when Western Red Cedar isn't enough.

These are face grain plugs, milled so the grain runs across the top of the plug the same way it runs through your surrounding material. The result is a flush installation that disappears into the wood rather than announcing itself.

I hand select every board before it gets cut, looking for consistent pale color and tight, even grain across the pack.
